Homeschooling doesn't have to be complicated!

When you are starting with homeschooling, often parents want to make sure that all I's are dotted and T's are crossed. They want to make sure that they child isn't missing anything or falling behind. And the truth is, education is supposed to be individualized; it's supposed to be encouraging; it's supposed to be enjoyable! And yes there are certain things we need to do to make sure that we cover all the basics but when kids find that learning is something they can enjoy and they can dive deeper into their own interest areas, then school doesn't have to be a fight!

Here are some great resources to you started on this homeschooling journey...

Step 1 - Contact your School District

We found that our school district had an entire packet all put together with the forms needed to withdraw a student.

Step 2 - File Correct Paperwork

Not all schools will provide this. But what you will need is...

  1. A notarized affidavit
  2. Educational outline
  3. Kindergarten
  4. First Grade
  5. Second Grade
  6. Third Grade
  7. 4th Grade
  8. 5th Grade
  9. Medical Exemption or Physical Form

Fool Proof Bread! If I can make it, anyone can! We go through so much bread in our home that it was silly to keep buying loaf after loaf especially when you realize all the "extra" ingredients the commercially made loaves, contain! THIS IS NOT MY OWN ORIGINAL RECIPE but I've tweaked it to find what works best for us! The original came from YouTube somewhere!
