Meet the Host

Lindsay Spurrier

Hi there friend, I'm Lindsay and I am the mother of 6 wild boys. Together with my husband, we run a small homestead in central Pennsylvania, where we strive to cultivate a conservative, down to earth lifestyle for our children. Between our cows, pigs, chickens and boys, life is never boring!

Currently, my husband works evenings while I substitute teach at our local school. Together we homeschool two of our sons but will homeschool the rest in years to come! 

I have a love for agriculture, a passion for education and a desire to help others; and taught high school ag education for 11 years. Since becoming a mom, focusing on encouraging mothers has been heavy on my heart. The creation of Rooted In, was meant to be a resource for mom’s just like me who want to grow more sustainable, grounded homes for their families. I believe that with enough prayer and strong coffee, we can thrive in this crazy world!
